About Sokome Foundation
Sokome Foundation offers quality, ethical medical care to widows and elderly members of society who need it most. We assemble and mobilize teams of medical professionals backed by non-medical volunteers to assist in providing medical counseling and supplies to rural areas within the South-South region of Nigeria.
Our programs designed to reach people of diverse culture and ethnicity includes the following:
Medicals for widows and elderly citizens
The emotional toll of losing a spouse is palpable. Unfortunately, bereavement is not the only trouble that death brings. It may not even be the most lasting.
Most surviving widows deal with significant financial as well as personal loss. And as a result, their health suffer, with little or no means to sustain their economics.
Fortunately,organizations like Sokome Foundation seek out to assist these widows with necessary medical support.
Community Development
We always seek out opportunities to collaborate with community members to come together and take collective action to generate solutions to common problems. The economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of a community often evolves from this type of collective action being taken at a grassroots level.
